Nursing | Balwadi | Teachers Training

It is Women's India Trust’s declared aim to provide training for women leading to meaningful professional employment. As part of this aim WIT runs a Teacher Training Programme.

Women are accepted for the training provided they have passed 10th Standard. There is no age limit and no caste barrier.

Method of Instruction

	Training is provided by the head of the Balwadi and takes place on the premises. The programme well planned to provide both practical and theory training.

	From 9.30 am to 12.30 pm they undergo practical training in the class rooms and from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm each day theory classes are conducted.

	All teaching follows the Montessori method and is given in the Marathi language.

Fee

	Training is provided free.

Students

Students start training at the beginning of the school year in June. There is no set limit to the number of students accepted.

Examination

Exams are conducted twice a year: after six months and at the end of the academic year.

Qualification

	After successful completion of the course the students will be awarded the WIT Teachers’ Certificate and will be eligible to apply for jobs in both government and private schools at the KG level. Past students are now happily working at local schools.
