In keeping with the objective of providing education for the less privileged, the following educational programmes have been introduced. At WIT, education and training to the girls and women are imparted free.

The WIT Nursing School was established in the year 1983 on the WIT campus to equip girls with certified educational qualifications and to meet the need for trained medical nurses.

The Nursing School is an educational institute with strength. It adds value to the communities they live in and gives students access to an exceptional pool of knowledge, experience and qualification.

The Kindergarten Teachers’ Training is yet another vital aspect of training women to lead independent meaningful lives with the help of professional employment. The training includes child psychology, crafts and Montessori methods of teaching.

The Balwadi, or kindergarten, was established in 1984 to cater to the educational needs of local children. It is housed in a building separate from the working areas and the lessons are taken in large, bright and airy classrooms with Montessori methods of teaching.
